Prayer Letter
December 2003

Dear Friends,

We have had some very exciting days recently. We have many reasons to praise God and we would like to share them with you.

We have enjoyed visiting our churches.

Our furlough is not long enough to visit all of you, but if you would like a report, please write or call and request a copy of our DVD presentation, "18 Years in PNG."  It is 20 minute presentation that has had an exceptionally good response in the churches where have shown it.

God supplied the $12,000 needed

for the purchase of land in PNG where we can have a campus for training ministries and youth camps, etc.  PRAISE THE LORD!  Now we need you to help us pray for people to build facilities (there is timber that can be cut right on the property) and for God's timing in all related efforts.

Richard II is on his way to the work!

We were privileged to be present for his ordination at Calvary Baptist Church, Colonial Heights, Va. His pastor, Marshall Bonds, is fighting a hard battle against bone cancer, but he was able to preach the charge for Richard's ordination and what a tender time it was! The church commissioned Richard as their missionary authorizing him to baptize. Id Then Pastor Bonds gave him the privilege of baptizing that Sunday morning. The first person he baptized was his own son, our grandson, Richard Leon Crotts Ill. What a blessed weekend!
Richard and Darla are well on their way raising their support to go to PNG to work with us in the islands. We praise the Lord for the wonderful response they have had in the churches they've been with. They would like to finish up deputation by the spring or early summer.

Our 14th grandchild was born October 31st.

Our youngest daughter, Alice, and husband, Steve, were blessed with their fourth child, a baby boy who is both healthy and beautiful! His name is Jared Lane, and we are so humbly thankful to God for him and all our precious family!

Prayer request: Our return to the field in January. . .

Our pastor's son, Ben Metsinger, as well as Joyce's parents, Bro. and Mrs. Paul Mohler, plan to return with us to help finish the house-building.  We are trying to raise $10,000 to finish the project, which we hope to have done by the time Richard and family arrive.  $6,000 has been given, but we still need $4,000.

Please accept our thanks for your participation in the work God has called us to!  We pray that you have a joyful Christmas season and a blessed and fruitful new year!

In Christ,
Richard and Joyce Crotts
