Me? Get involved in missions?
Oh, that would really be funny.
God didn't call me to missions.
Besides, I give them all my money.
Okay, so I don't give all I have
But I do give my fair share.
And every once in a while
I utter a missionary a prayer.
Me? Get involved in missions?
Oh, I would be such a fool.
I have more important things to do
Like teaching my Sunday school.
When would I ever have time
To encourage a sister who's away?
I'm sure she gets plenty of mail
Coming in day after day.
Me? Get involved in missions?
That's for a focused and determined one.
I want to do something more exciting.
I want to do something fun.
Missions seem so boring.
A bunch of slides one after another.
I don't really find those people on them
To be my sister or brother.
Me? Get involved in missions?
That really takes the cake.
Is it really my problem
That so many souls are at stake?
I know what the Bible says
To every boy and girl.
When the Lord said "ye" did He
Really mean "me" to go into all the world?
Me? Get involved in missions?
Now I know it is a command.
To every born-again believer
To win souls throughout the land.
I must support my missionaries
And let them know I care.
I must give all I can
And bathe them all in prayer.
Me? Get involved in missions?
Now I am compelled
To do what the Lord commands
And lead others away from hell.
Missionaries need you and me
To use all that we know
And be ready when the Lord calls
To be the one willing to GO!
