Lifting Christ Up
Down Under

An Awesome December . . .

December was probably the busiest month we had last year. It started off with a great turnout for our church Christmas party. Over 50 people dropped by that evening, including many of our unsaved friends and neighbors. That same evening Val’s FANTASTIX drama team performed in front of a crowd of hundreds at the local community’s Carols by Candlelight festivities. We pray that the message in song was well received by those who saw and heard the performance.

Valerie also helped teach two more Scripture classes to over 250 young children in the local public school. What a wonderful blessing to be able to share the true meaning of Christmas with these precious kids.

The FANTASTIX performed once again at the school’s Christmas assembly and Dwayne was asked to open in prayer. We are so very thankful for the opportunity to be involved in the local school in so many different capacities.
On the 13th of December Dennis Cole of Dramatic Christian Ministries was the guest speaker at our church. He did a powerful dramatic Gospel presentation. Over 40 people attended our service that evening including several first time guests.

We wrapped up all of our events with a very special Christmas Candlelight and Communion service on the 20th of December. 40 people were also in attendance that day as well with some return visitors. It was a very moving and special celebration of the birth of our Savior. Now things have slowed down here with the Australian summer holidays upon us. Most Aussies travel out of town so our attendance has been down. However, we are staying very busy with the visit of Dwayne’s brother, Lee, and his wife Toni and their son Gafton. They are getting a taste of what the ministry is like here and enjoying their time Down Under. They are enjoying seeing the kangaroos behind the house and all the sights in Australia. Please pray for travelling mercies as they make the long journey back home on the 15th.

Prayer Request
Please continue to pray for Valerie’s sister-in-law, Lisa Eaker, back in North Carolina. She had a tumor removed near her brain. She is still awaiting results to find out if the tumor was cancerous. The surgery went well and she is back home resting now. Also pray for Valerie’s brother, Allen, as he takes care of their young children and runs his electrical business.
