Praise the Lord for these two young people who followed the Lord in Believer’s Baptism

15 people attended
this new ministry’s first baptism service last month

A Great Way to Start Off the New Year
And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. - Acts 8:38 The Bible is very clear about baptism. After a person has come to the realization that he needs to be saved and accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, Jesus has commanded that he be baptized. Both Jesus and the eunuch were baptized by full immersion. We are so excited that two of our young people followed the Lord in Believer’s Baptism in January. One was our very own son, Austin. He had been baptized before but last April he just wasn’t sure of his salvation since he made the decision at a very young age. He wanted to know for sure and asked Jesus to come into his heart. Tracey, the young woman that has been in Val’s discipleship and Bible studies also got baptized. We were so thrilled to have 15 people show up for the baptism service at the pool of one of our church people’s daughter’s. We followed the service with a family barbecue at the local park. It was a wonderful way to start off the new year! Tracey also completed another ten-week Bible study, Becoming a Vessel God Can Use. Dwayne is now discipling two men, counseling one, and leading a men’s study on the book of Jeremiah. It is so good to see our people growing in the Lord and wanting to learn more. Pray for Dwayne as he studies and works on his exams for his biblical counseling course.

Reaching Out to Those Around Us
We have a lot of events coming up that we hope will strengthen the relationships we have with those people we are trying to reach for the Lord. We have had several new families move into our area over the summer school holidays. We hope that we can reach out to them very soon. Valerie will start the drama presentation training in the school this Thursday. After ten weeks of practice the six graders will perform the drama at the school’s Easter assembly. Please be in prayer that the Gospel message will be received by the students, parents and teachers. We plan on inviting the drama team to perform at one of our church services and bring their families along. On the 23rd we will be hosting a Hawaiian Luau night. We have invited several of our unsaved neighbors and friends to this fun event. Valerie will be having another ladies craft night on the 27th. Several women have already expressed an interest in coming. We are so excited to announce that two of the men who just recently received Christ as their Lord and Savior plan to get baptized next month. The end of March we hope to have a very special Easter Sunrise Service at the lake near our home. Dwayne is also working on planning a men’s fishing retreat for April. We are hoping that several of the unsaved men we know will attend this event. This month Dwayne is also coaching a boy’s softball team. Some of the parents have been asking about our ministry. We truly appreciate your faithful prayers, encouragement & financial support!
