When you’re lost and weary
In this daily race you run,
You can find direction.
Look up and follow the Son.
He’s already been there.
He knows the battles you fight.
He’ll take away the darkness
And be your guiding light.
Forget what is behind you
And look to what’s ahead.
Hold on to His promises.
He’ll do just what He said.
This race won’t always be easy.
It may seem all uphill
But you can surely make it.
Be faithful and follow His will.
Satan will try to cover your eyes
And lead you through the dark.
Call out the Savior’s name
And keep pressing towards the mark.
You will find a rocky path
When overcoming sin.
Feel confident in knowing
That with Jesus you will win!
The road will seem long
But you will finish this race
And at the end is the prize
Of meeting Jesus face-to-face!
Oh, what glory you will find,
God’s treasures finally known.
By following the Son of God,
His light will lead you home.
