Mar - Apr 2008 Dear Friends, Praise the Lord for Answered Prayer ... We have been praying for a young energetic Pastor to take the work here so we could take our planned furlough this year. It has been 7 years since our last one and longer for reporting in person to some of you. All the church families were aware of this when we came to help. God in His mercy knows better than we do what the members of Victory Baptist Church needs. After much prayer and meditation, the Lord has laid it on all of our hearts jointly to merge with a new work that is meeting in a friend's home till they can imd a building to rent. We are excited about merging and working with this new Church beginning. Young Pastor Mike; sound in Biblical doctrine and teaching this home group; is studying by correspondence plus working full time. The congregation is mixed: New Zealanders, South Africans, Filipinos and Americans. They had a good song leader and we had a good pianist who is enjoying working together now. We have had a few combined meetings which have been a blessing to all. Prayer Requests ... Please pray that we can be a blessing and a help until we leave for furlough. Please pray for not only the continued growth of this new ministry, but that God will also furnish a rental building to meet their needs. After furlough, God willing, we will return to help in this ministry. Thank you dear folk for your prayers, for your love, and for your support over all the years we have been your Missionaries. May God continue to bless all of you. |
