Dear Gift Givers,

What an amazing and outrageous time of the year!! It’s been so long since we had a Christmas in America, but I am sure it is no different there—crazy, hectic, stressful, and full of “what shall I give this year?”, and yet the wonder of His birth.

Christmas in Australia is often HOT, and full of amazing opportunities to share the story of that night in Bethlehem. I often try to put myself in the scene of that “starry” night. To share the fact that it all began that night, but that was only the beginning of God’s plan. As we began this special month of celebration and opportunities we wanted to pass on more than just the baby in a manager, but the whole GIFT of God.

We were able to share that in our Scripture Classes in the local schools, our NGK (Next Generation Kids Sunday School) Christmas Programme, our community and church carols evening. God gave us an amazing time of sharing His gift!

As we reflect during this Christmas season, over the events of 2009 and beyond we are reminded of one of the best gifts we have been given—the gift of your love and prayers. To our precious “extended” family, as you read these words please know they come from our hearts! We could never have made it without your choice of giving! Through this year, and years, you have truly given us the gift of your hearts and lives. The gift of sharing our needs and burdens through your prayers for us has been the gift that money can not buy. Thank you for the gift of PRAYER!
