Our Ministry Do you
need to minister to the spiritual needs of the people
After 20 years in the Philippines Jon and Roberta Steffy are now going to the people of New Zealand! Jon and Roberta have vast experience living and working among the Ilongos of the Philippines for 20 years helping the people there to know the Bible plan of redemption, training them to teach their own people and helping educate children with moral character values based on God’s Holy Word. Why is this important to know? They say that “past is prologue”. That means that 20 years of successful ministry in one place is a good indication of what the next 20 years in another place will be. Jon and Roberta saw the people of New Zealand from afar and realized that here is a people with very few who will teach them and guide them to the same redemption that is found in Jesus Christ and organize those that believe into local indigenous congregations. Jon and Roberta are career missionaries of the Baptist Bible
Fellowship International and need like minded churches and
individuals to financially support them monthly so that they have a
firm base of support to adequately minister in New Zealand.

Read here about our previous ministry in the Philippines Click here to view an 6 minute video presentation Many Filipinos have immigrated to New Zealand. The people are very dear to our hearts. We know about a young lady from our ministry in the Philippines who is among those who immigrated a few years ago as a nurse. She has conveyed to us how she cannot find a church in Auckland like ours. Since then we heard about a man who used to work on my church staff in the Philippines who also recently immigrated to New Zealand as a worker and now lives in Auckland. He also cannot find a church like ours. He and a few others are meeting for Bible Study and Prayer. This disturbs us because we see so many Filipinos there like this man without a pastor to guide them. They need us there now! The knowledge of this is pressing us with great urgency. Please pray that we can go soon and help us financially so that we can go. |
