I am writing this prayer letter from the beautiful state of Oregon. I have been on a 10 day trip up here visiting some churches raising support for our ministry to New Zealand. I had always wanted to visit this area, not only for its beauty but also to get used to the weather because I understand the weather here is like New Zealand. I guess I better get used to liking rain! The cool weather is fine with me. Some people think I am crazy for liking cool weather but my body seems to crave it having spent my whole life in the hot humid tropics of the Philippines. I do find that as I travel and speak and give our presentation in churches, God has a way of using me to challenge and encourage Christians and Pastors for Missions. It seems that our testimony of what God has done in our life is what many people today are needing to hear. God is still on His throne and even though we can’t wait to get to New Zealand we know also that God has us right where He wants us and we have a ministry here right now as well. I have always believed what the Bible says in Psalms 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delighteth in His way.” And God has ordered our steps in such a way that it is a delight to follow the Lord. Our next step is to visit New Zealand to get a feel for the people there, minister to the Filipinos and Christians there and learn as much as we can about the country so that we can more adequately prepare for our ministry there. We will leave home on June 16, just Roberta and I, and will be back home by July 21, Lord Willing. We really do need your prayers for us that God will provide our needs for this trip as well as His watch care and grace over us. You are just as much a part of our ministry as if you were going with us and may we all go together on this on behalf of our King. Well, Cindy did graduate from High School on May 16 and will finish up her High School diploma requirements for a few weeks in summer school this month. Please pray for her future as well.
