The Work of the Lord Continues . . . Waiting Faithfully

GOD’S WORK MUST NEVER REST:

For those who have been praying for our most recent “Faith Experience” - that of the land lease increases,...we are still waiting. We have been to the round table with City Council on 2 occasions and have met with our local government representative several times now and have given everything they have asked for, including a complete reporting of our churches finances. The most recent was mid-July and we have given, at their request, information to give a clear definition of our charitable giving of food items to communities of people. This is in hopes of them being able to declare our giving as “charitable” worthy of major reduction in costs of land leases.
We are not holding our breath-as business moves oh so slow at times but we are definitely still praying and ask you to do the same. Whatever the outcome, we will be sure to let you know. On a side note, the letters of support that have poured in from the community are incredible. It has given us great challenges of faith, prayer, waiting on the Lord and learning about our political culture in business. Fortunately, we have been able to connect with a Christian Member of Parliament and he has been such a blessing in giving us guidance on certain matters. And, we are making new acquaintances as a result of this matter. Not sure what the Lord has planned but He is definitely working on our behalf. Thank you for your prayer. Praise The Lord !
EQUIPPING THE SAINTS: We have had 2 “training” classes for our people running simultaneously, ‘Way of the Master’ on Sunday evenings - taught by Chris Reid (one of our men who was ordained in January) - AND, on Wednesday evenings, we have had Martin McCann - (another leader who was also ordained here several years ago), teaching Discipleship 101. We have been “equipping the saints” for the work ahead and are expecting GREAT things ahead.
FRUIT TO ABOUND: There is fruit to abound to your account as a result of the prayer, support and efforts of those taking the classes mentioned (above). On our Anniversary Sunday, not only did we top our expectation in attendance at 190, we also had 2 saved-a man and women-praising the Lord! We recently had a teen accept Christ who has been on our prayer list since January,...God is so good. There are others who need Him and we are equipping the saints to tell-pray for those who are learning to share their faith. Paulette
