New Life
Floriade Festival in
Canberra
 Each
year in September, the nation’s capital puts on one of
the most beautiful flower shows we’ve ever seen.
Thousands upon thousands of gorgeous tulips are
displayed in very beautiful and creative ways. The event
is called Floriade. It is a mustsee if you’re visiting
us this time of year. It is such a demonstration of
God’s amazing handiwork. And, it is a wonderful reminder
of the hope that lies within us. For many Australians, a
true relationship with Jesus Christ is like the tulip
bulbs before they are planted with no life in them. But,
if they are planted at the right time, they will
eventually produce flowers which are nothing short of
being very beautiful and glorious. Our mission field is
much the same. We see so many people out in our
community without that blessed hope. They try to fill
their lives with many things and keep a very active
schedule but they don’t have that true peace in their
hearts that comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Please pray with us as the days grow warmer here and
tthe signs of spring appear all around us that we can
share the new life in Jesus Christ. This Sunday we will
be celebrating Father’s Day here. We hope to have some
new people with us as we celebrate our fathers. Then the
following Sunday, the 12th of September we will be
celebrating our church’s four-year anniversary. It’s
hard to believe that we have been here four years. We
are so very thankful for the faithful core of people
that have been with us since the very beginning. Sadly,
we have lost several of our faithful people due to job,
school and family commitments in other parts of the
country. The anniversary theme will be “Many Hands, One
Heart.” We will be celebrating how God has brought our
people from many different cultures into our church to
serve Him with one heart. Pray that this will also be a
great outreach to our community as we plan to invite our
friends and neighbors to this event. Also, pray for
Valerie as she will be teaching nine Scripture classes
in the public school this month to over 250 young
children and their teachers. Thank you!

 We
are working hard on producing a DVD for you to show your
church. We got a little behind after Valerie’s foot
surgery and a case of the flu this past month. We hope
to finish filming and production soon. Then we will send
the DVD off to be reproduced and mailed out to you. We
hope that you will enjoy seeing the great and mighty
things the Lord has done in the past few years and our
future plans for the work here. You may want to use it
in an upcoming missions conference or for a missions
emphasis night.
Financial UpdateA sad reality in Australia is
that it takes a lot of money to live and minister
here. We praise the Lord for how He has provided
for us all these years but financial issues are always
with us. Just the past month we were hit with a
very high winter electricity bill. The news reports
have even been covering how much more expensive
electricity is now than in the past and how families
are struggling with this. Also, we are still paying
off Val’s medical bills from her recent foot surgery.
Then just last week we found out that we owe
three-thousand dollars in Australian taxes due to the
restructuring to our U.S. income. Please pray with us
that we can get all of these financial needs met
soon. We know that the Lord will provide in His timing
and look forward to seeing how He will do it. Thank
you so much for your faithful financial support each
month. Your prayers, encouragement and financial support
are such a blessing to us.

You are a big part of helping us
reach the lost here Down Under. Thank you!!
Finally, brethren,
pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be
glorified, even as it is with you. – 2 Thess. 3:1
